Management of Owner’s Car Rental Brokerage Services

TCR Brokerage Services provides rental management services to Car Owners, who wish to rent out their cars.  Rental management services cover all types of cars, for which the owner and car meet TCR’s conditions.

Conditions

• The vehicle owner must provide proof of ownership
• The vehicle must be in good mechanical and aesthetic condition.

 

• Valid Road Worthy Certificate
• Comprehensive Insurance
• Clean Interior and Exterior
• Fire Extinguisher
• First Aid Box
• Triangle
• Reflectors
• Jacks, Good tyres & spare tyres
• Functioning Seat Belts
• Functioning Traffic Indicators and Lights
• Functioning Radio or Music Player
• All fluids and lubricants such as Anti-freeze coolant, Engine Oil, Brake Fluid, Transmissions Fluids should  be at the  recommended levels

• The vehicle owner will have physical possession of his/her vehicle and release it for brokerage rentals, if the vehicle is available
• GPS Tracking: A GPS tracker/locator SHOULD be installed on the brokerage vehicle. TCR can help the owner install the tracker.
• In the event of TCR installing the GPS-Tracker in the owner’s vehicle, TCR will have physical possession of the vehicle and use it for rentals, until the total cost of the GPS-tracker and subscription has been recovered.
• In the event of the absence of a GPS-tracker in the car owner’s vehicle, the car owner will absolve TCR of all consequences as a result of this.
• Before and After every rental, the car owner is responsible for the exterior and Interior cleaning of their vehicle and the maintenance and servicing of their vehicle.
• It is the responsibility of the car owner to insure their car comprehensively. With or without insurance the car owner agrees to absolve TCR of all consequences and incidence to the car thereof.
• The brokerage vehicle must be dropped off at the TCR premises and picked up by the car owner at the agreed upon times. Alternate arrangements can be made between the car owner and TCR for TCR to pick up and drop off the owner’s vehicle at the owner’s premises at the agreed upon times. Standard pick-up and drop off times for TCR is Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 8 PM.

The Approval Process

Pre-approval

1. Create an Account on our Website or ask TCR to help you with this.
2. Upload the following documents:
   1. Proof of Vehicle Registration and Ownership
   2. Comprehensive Insurance. (If the car is not comprehensively insured, TCR can help the car owner with this).
   3. Valid Road Worthy Certificate
3. Describe the Car and Input Basic Information about the Car:

In the event of problems going through our pre-approval process, please  call  TCR on  054 339 0778  and TCR will send over our inspector to assist the car owner.

How does the owner complete the TCR  Brokerage Services Form?

TCR will pick up your car and complete the rental process on your behalf or with input from the car owner

Approval

TCR’S Vehicle Inspector will visit your location to inspect the vehicle for final approval.

Advertising the Owner’s Car

With approval of the owner’s vehicle,  TCR will list and display the vehicle on our website.

TCR will complete the rental process on your behalf or with input from the car owner and pick up your car

Price Rate

• TCR will provide the owner with the recommended pricing, based on the specifications of the owner’s vehicle. TCR will update the owner with pricing information to maximize the owner’s
• The owner is free to always set his/or her own rental price rate.

Revenue Sharing

The car owner will keep an agreed upon greater percentage of the rental revenue and TCR will keep the rest. (Please email us or show up in person at our premises to talk to us)

Once the vehicle has been rented out, TCR will send your rental revenue that has been agreed upon in writing to you via Mobile Money transfer within 3 working days or deposit it into the car owner’s bank account within 3 working days. If by Mobile money Transfer, the owner will bear the Transaction fee.

Each driver and renter is screened against identification and  anti-fraud verifications to enhance  security of the owner’s vehicle  and  to maintain  confidence in our services.

 

Does the owner have say in who rents his/her car?

The owner can set written criteria for the type of renter he/she prefers
